Support and participation.
Your commitment
Plan to attend the weekly sessions and set aside around one to two hours between meetings for actions connected to your search. You might analyse a vacancy, refine an example, make an application or start a conversation. We will agree manageable steps that take account of your circumstances.
You will need a reliable internet connection and a device suitable for online meetings and editing applications. Let us know about access needs before joining so we can discuss what would help you participate.
Care and confidentiality
We will agree how to respect confidentiality, give feedback and support one another. You choose what personal experiences to share and can pass on an exercise. Participants will be asked to keep other people’s stories and documents private. Coaching conversations will not be recorded; resources will be shared separately.
Following through
On Saturday 12 December, three weeks after the final weekly session, we meet again from 2–3.30 pm UK time to review what you have tried, what responses you are receiving and what needs adjusting. If you have entered work, this is also space to reflect on that transition.
Learning with one another
Our Ubuntu approach recognises that each person brings something and that we can develop through what we share. Others can help you notice strengths, try out ideas and see possibilities you may have missed. Your experience can do the same for them.
With 6–8 participants, there is room for individual reflection, paired practice and group coaching. You choose your next steps; Coach Dumi and the cohort help you explore those choices and reflect on what happens.
Investment and joining the cohort.
Your investment
The founding-cohort fee is £350 per person for the complete journey. This shared format makes coaching more affordable while funding the preparation, facilitation and individual feedback needed to offer meaningful support.
You can pay in full or in three instalments of £120, £115 and £115. Payment dates will be confirmed with your booking details.
What your fee includes
· All six weekly sessions and the group follow-through session.
· A short questionnaire and a brief individual welcome conversation before the journey begins.
· One review of your CV, with feedback to help you revise it yourself.
· Reflection prompts, application tools and interview preparation guidance.
· Feedback through session practice and one shared route for questions between sessions, reviewed weekly.
The journey includes support to develop your own applications. Additional individual coaching, if requested, would be arranged separately and is not required to complete the journey.
What progress can look like
You may leave with clearer direction, stronger applications, more confidence communicating your contribution and a realistic plan for continuing your search. We will reflect on your starting point and progress, including what you have practised and learned.
Employment outcomes depend on available opportunities, employers’ decisions and individual circumstances. We cannot promise a job offer. Our commitment is to help you strengthen your approach and take informed next steps.
